Senior Software Engineer
Burlington, MA
IHM seeks a Senior Software Engineer with broad programming experience to build its next generation of ASP clinical data products. Reporting to the Executive Director, the SSE will work alongside the current members of the Development Group as a peer and contributing team member.
The successful candidate will be a focused, motivated professional, willing to learn new technologies and comfortable both in small groups and as an individual contributor.
The successful candidate must have deep practical experience using the following technologies:
- Java
- Dynamic web technologies, ideally Servlet/JSP
- Web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- XML, XSLT 2
- SQL and JDBC, ideally in an Oracle and/or MySQL environment
- Object oriented design concepts
Additionally, the successful candidate may bring the following skills:
- Ant
- Tomcat
- J2EE
- Applications frameworks (Spring)
- ORM libraries (Hibernate)
- AJAX
- Templating technologies (Tiles)
- Software debugging and testing
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work independently as well as a key team member
- Strong outcome-based work ethic alongside a strong sense of humor
- An abiding interest in pursuing a purpose to do well by doing good
