Infection Alert

IHM's Infection Alert product provides a twice daily report which uses clinical information to highlight early detection indicators of infection. Infection Alert (IA) gathers current information on abnormal clinical parameters to help clinicians prioritize care reviews twice daily on patients are still in-house. This program dramatically reduces the manual collection of data from multiple sources allowing the practitioner to take action with the most vulnerable patients as their condition changes and to actively reduce the risk of infection.

Infection Alert (IA) offers:

Detailed individual patient clinical information in 24, 48 and 72 hour displays (e.g. weekend views on Monday morning using 72 hour window)
Overview of patients with new high or low temperatures or temperature, white blood cell count; cultures or antibiotics ordered
Identification of all patients on a ventilator, central line, urinary catheter or precautions
Patient level drilldown including listing of roommates and all locations of the patient during a particular hospitalization
Monthly totals of device days and MDROs by specific device and unit

IA will:

Save time in data collection and provide data that currently is not available on the Infection Control Practitioner’s desktop
Provide a house-wide view of all patients who are vulnerable to infections
Target patients that require specific immediate interventions or change in care plan
Maximize your revenue by reduction of the nosocomial infection rate
